Hancock Shaker Village

While freelancing at an agency in the summer of 2009, I was able to work with Hancock Shaker Village, a client with a lot of intellectualism and class. Set in the Berkshires, Hancock Shaker Village is a beautifully restored village, with 20 historic buildings. The village comes to life through tours, exhibitions, demonstrations and participatory activities like the metal crafting event promoted here.

Even though the period dress and look of the village are, well...retro. The client is forward thinking and delivers a look at history that is anything but stuffy. These ads break away from the expected and deliver something unusual, and engaging, just like Hancock Shaker Village. If you haven't been there yet, be sure to take a trip to the Berkshires.
